Thank you for your interest in Sherwood Forest Montessori School. We encourage you to schedule a tour of our school and get additional information regarding our program. We give tours on Tuesday and Thursday at 9:30 AM. During this time you will be able to see our classrooms in action.
The Registration Process
Applications are accepted throughout the school year, with admissions subject to availability. Please forward teacher recommendation forms, recent report cards and past school records along with your completed registration form and a $100 non-refundable fee to apply for admissions. When a vacancy occurs, an interview will be arranged for the prospective student, his parents and a staff member. This interview helps determine the child’s readiness for school, to introduce the program to the parents, and to establish a mutual understanding between the school and family.
All children regardless of race, color, creed and national or ethnic origin are eligible for enrollment in Sherwood Forest Montessori School.
Upon entering school the first month’s tuition and a prepaid tuition deposit is required. This non-refundable deposit is based on the program in which the child is enrolled. The deposit will be applied to the last month’s tuition after all financial obligations have been met. This non-refundable deposit amount is adjusted as tuitions change.
A completed medical form, release information and other required forms must be on file with the school.
Tuition is due and payable at the first of each month. The school does not send bills. Tuition is considered late after the 5th business day of each month and a 10% late fee will be charged. The 10% late fee will apply if the tuition is not paid by the agreed date. A $10.00 fee is charged for all returned checks.
Half & extended day students are enrolled for a 37 week school year. The tuition is for the school year and is divided into 9 ½ equal monthly payments with August tuition prorated. Winter and Spring Breaks are not a part of the 37 weeks. Full Day students are enrolled in a 12 month program and their tuition is charged monthly.
A written notice of withdrawal must be received by the school before the 1st day of the month of intended withdrawal. The prepaid tuition deposit will then be applied to the last month’s tuition after all financial obligations have been met.
